This assessment item has two parts:
• Part A is a Group Case Study Report of approximate length of 2000 – 2500 words: 30%
• Part B is Self and Peer Assessment (SPA) online survey – individually completed: 10%
Part A 30%
All students are to form into groups by Week 5 of the Term. For all on-campus students, please receive help from your lead lecturer for the formation of your team, if needed. For distance students, your unit coordinator is the staff member to contact in order to help you with team formation. Your team members should take different roles in the team, including analyst, report writer, and proof-reader. You rotate the leadership role. You divide the tasks of major body sections of your report. All team members work closely together to produce the introduction and conclusion sections. When you change leadership roles, the next analyst will assume the role of a new leader heading the team in the right common direction. The finalised version of the report should be read and reviewed in full by all team members. The Week 12 team leader will be responsible for submitting the assignment. The title page of your assignment should include Student IDs and full names of all team members. Include a table showing your leadership roles, team member roles and durations on the last page of your assignment.
Part B 10%
All students will be sent an SPA email generated from a different non-Moodle system around the due date of the group case study report. You must complete the SPA survey regardless your group size, whatever relationship you have with your team members or being assigned as a loner work member not in a proper team under special consideration of your exceptional circumstances. Please read the Part B note with more details below.

See yourself as a future business analyst and visualize yourself as applying the knowledge and skills developed in this unit of study, if you would have been part of a team working for this project.
During your analysis, focus on the following topics that you have to include in your report:
1. Project background, problems in business case and objectives
2. Organisational strategies and stakeholders
3. Business context and business case
4. Statement of current business processes and problems
5. Proposed new System/s
6. Method of evaluation for the users to follow while using the system (this will follow from the mission and objectives of the project).

• Topical headings as required from analysis results of items 2-6 above
• Conclusion of your findings.
• References
• Roles and Responsibilities
Introduction should introduce the project covering Topic-1 above describing the project background, briefly describing the problems in business case and objectives. It should also introduce the structure of contents inside the report.
You need to demonstrate your analytical and modelling skills through your analysis results, as well as the inclusions of modelling diagrams, like a mind mapping diagram drawn using CMap, and process modelling diagrams completed using Microsoft Visio.
Use references to support your arguments, method of analysis, tools and techniques appropriately. You should have a minimum of four journal articles and/or textbooks as your references.
Use the Harvard Year Date referencing style. You should include in-text references and the list of your references at the end of your report.
